Chelsea and Clayton are engaged!!

I met up with Chelsea and Clayton on Friday afternoon. They are so bright, adorable and animated. And this photo girl loves me some animated! They followed me all over downtown. I'm so excited about the great new spots we discovered. I LOVE the color in these photos :) Seriously some of my favorites photo places ever.
Enough of my chattering... check out the post, it's a long one :)
-Jenn

Starting off with one of my favs :) This makes me smile.

Or is this one my fav? Hmmm...I can't decide.

Gotta love running into romantic graffiti in downtown SA.

Wow! Clayton you are super tall!

This one makes me want to take a nap :)

The many (adorable) faces of Chelsea. You are too cute!!

We got a really funny look from a passerby I'm sure he was wondering what about a parking meter was photo-worthy :) Another favorite of mine.

These super-cute stray dogs decided they wanted to join in. They followed us for at least 15 minutes. We just could not get rid of them.

Chelsea's last request, the shoe shot. How killer are those heels!?

Annalin is THREE!!

Annalin's birthday was last weekend. She is THREE YEARS OLD... omg... working on this blog post has put me in a ridiculously sentimental mood... as cliche as it is, I'm going to say it (wait for it, wait for it...) THEY GROW UP SO FAST. As I've been editing these photos, I keep thinking "Is that REALLY my little Annie? She's SOOO grown up now...."

Below is one of the first photos of Annalin and I together. Taken on June 20, 2006. It's hard to believe this little girl has only been in our lives for three years. In that short time, she has brought so much joy and love to our family. It's been amazing to watch. She's turned my brother into a responsible, protective father. She's turned my mom into the most loving, most caring NANA you've ever seen (Annalin and her Nana are SO close, we gave them the celebrity name "Nannalin!") She's turned my dad into the softest, sweetest Papa. And as for me... I never thought I could love anyone as much as I love this little girl. She's turned me into a doting, sappy, sentimental Aunt. The moments I spend with Annalin are my absolute happiest (and the photos I take of Annalin are my absolute favorit-est!)

I think this is one of my favorite photos I've ever taken of Annalin. She's our little porcelain doll!

It's party time!!

Annie opening the sidewalk chalk I bought her... gotta bring out the little artist in her as soon as possible!! Although, I'm not too sure she was as excited about the gift as her friend Gabrielle.

Considering the nostalgic, sentimental mood I'm in, I thought black and white pics would be appropriate. :)

After eating a ton of pizza, no one was in a hurry to get to the cake... except Annalin of course. :) She patiently waited...

...and waited....

...and waited...

Finally, the pay off. :)  Happy 3rd birthday Annalin!!

Valerie & Miles are engaged!

I'm crazy excited about this engagement session... Valerie & Miles were soooo easy to shoot! It can be tough sometimes to just relax and pretend the camera isn't there. They were a little nervous when we started the session... but can you tell?!  Heck no! They were naturals!

They were down to do ANYTHING I asked... lay on the dirty ground? They did it!   Change clothes in the car in the middle of downtown? Did it!  Pick Valerie up over and over so I could be sure to get the shot? Did it!  Yup... pretty much a dream engagement session. :)  I can't wait till their wedding in August!!!

Here are my favorite shots. Enjoy! :)

You can't see it in the pic... but the river was right behind me. Like...RIGHT behind me. I almost fell into the water to get this shot. (The clumsiest person ever = ME)

WE LOVE BRIGHT COLORED CLOTHES! How often can you take a photo next to a plain white wall and have it pop? LOVE IT!

How cute are they? Their legs are crossed the same way. Their hands are in the same place! I didn't even tell them to pose that way... they really ARE just a perfect match. :)

My favorite of the session!

Jackie and Jared are Engaged!

I met Jackie and Jared in Gruene, a cute little town with tons character. It is craaaaazy hot, so we met bright and early to try to beat the heat :) Jackie and Jared were awesome. I love their brightly colored outfits. It is so fun to shoot couples who interact so well. They also brought along their adorable dog, Lucy...you'll meet her later. On to the photos!!
-Jenn

Starting it off with my faaaaaaavorite :) I want long eyelashes!

How adorable is Jackie?!

This is Jackie's sassy pose. I love it :)

Meet Lucy. Isn't she perfect? She is super sweet.

Their one request. The famous water tower.

Mailboxes are fun!

I couldn't decide which one I liked more. Above? Or below? Eyes closed? Or open?

Like I said...Jackie is adorable :) This one makes me smile.

I love Lucy :) See you guys in December!!!

Meet Miss Phoenix :)

The year was 1993. 7th grade. Into my private-school classroom walks a new girl named Margaux - AKA "Joker". She wore baggy pants, had big hair, and drew on the walls in the bathroom. She was everything my parents had hoped to shelter me from by putting me into this tiny private school. She became my very best friend (to my parents' dismay). Though we were total opposites, we had blast together. We snuck into dollar movies, wrote fan-letters to Jean-Claude Van Damme, snuck out to see boys, and memorized every Vanilla Ice/MC Hammer/New Kids song ever recorded.

Fast-forward 16 years... Margaux is married and has a new baby girl named Phoenix. We've given up on hairspray and moved on from Van Damme, but she's still one of my best friends. :) Last week, she asked me to drop by and take some photos of Phoenix (who I call "Phee-Phee" just to annoy Margaux). :D She's 8 months old and coudn't be more adorable. We're hoping Phoenix will behave MUCH better than we did in our junior high/high school years... Hmm... scary thought. Here are my favorite shots. Enjoy :)
--Kaylinn--

Margaux will kill me for posting this.... but I think it's charming. :) One of the many photos we took at Pear Apple County Fair - anyone remember Pear Apple?! It was DA BOMB!! (Another 90s reference - ha!)  As you can see, I wore way too much makeup (right) and Margaux (left) thought she was too-cool-for-school with her peace-sign. :)

I love these crib shots! So cute :)

Me (doing anything and everything to get Phoenix to look at me. :) Needless to say, she couldn't stop staring... I love that the mouth is on my nose. Weird.

Margaux has loved Snoopy as long as I've known her. He's all over the nursery. :)

Stylish baby. About 300 pairs of shoes. Ha!
